What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help websites work properly, remember your preferences and, in some cases, understand how the site is used. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work in much the same way and are covered by this policy too.
How we use cookies
We keep cookie use on this website to a minimum. We do not currently use any advertising or analytics cookies of our own.
Essential cookies
These are needed for the website to function and cannot be switched off. WordPress, the platform this website runs on, may set a temporary cookie to check that your browser accepts cookies, and sets login cookies for Club administrators only. Submitting one of our enquiry forms may also use a temporary token to protect the form against misuse. None of these are used to track you.
Third-party cookies from embedded content
Some pages include content hosted by other organisations, which may set their own cookies when you view it:
- YouTube (Google) — match highlights and other videos embedded on our news pages and around the site. See Google’s cookie policy.
- The FA Full-Time — the live league tables, fixtures and results shown on our squad pages are embedded from The FA’s Full-Time service. See The FA’s policies.
We do not control these cookies. If you do not interact with the embedded content, in most cases these cookies will not be set.
Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or delete cookies already stored. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of this website from working properly. Guidance for the most common browsers is available at aboutcookies.org.uk.
Changes and contact
If we add new services that use cookies, we will update this page. If you have any questions, contact us at Terry@staveleymwfc.co.uk. For details of how we handle personal data more generally, see our Privacy Policy.
